Rolags are listed in 1oz increments with discounts depending on how much you buy.
The more you buy, the more you save per ounce!
These rolags are named after the Persian Shield plant, seen in the last photo.
are made with a gorgeous base of merino and black tencel, superwash
merino, green silk, and angelina sparkle. They also have green silk noil
added for texture, though that can be omitted if you prefer to keep it
Disclosure: Each batch is made to
order so please allow for small variations, though all batches should
look very similar to what you see in the photo. I treat each dye bath
with dye fixative and synthrapol to eliminate bleeding. In some rare
cases, slight bleeding may still occur so we recommend that you wash by
hand in cool water just to be safe. Keep in mind that this fiber base
contains regular merino which means it can felt, so use care when
washing if you want to keep that from happening.
and rolags are a very fun way to spin fiber. They are easier to hold
onto than big art batts and all of the drafting work has already been
done for you. They may look confusing, but this is actually my favorite
way to spin fiber!
Joining them together is as simple as
touching it to the fiber as it spins, and this way of spinning creates
predictable, gorgeous variations in your hand spun yarn. If you prefer
to felt, feel free! It will work for that too.
Please note that
each batch is custom made which takes 1-3 days on average to make. There
may be slight color variations but we will do our best to get the
colors as close to the original as possible.
Thank you for looking!
